Welcome to Savvy Lane! My name is Taylor Emery and I am so excited you stopped by my little slice of the internet! I am a twenty-something year old who loves all things fashion, beauty, and finance. Married to my best friend, Josh, we have two German Shepherds, Raina and Emma, and a cat named Charlie! My husband and I met shortly after I graduated from Wofford College, but for the full story you’ll have to check out this post!
Up until recently we lived in Wilmington, NC, where I worked at a bank and my husband served in the USMC. We recently relocated to Dallas, TX, to live the big city life, have better access to both of our families, and chase our dreams!

Savvy Lane started because I loved helping my friends get ready for any occassion – I would dig through our closets to help them get dressed, curl their hair, and apply their makeup before a night out! Once I got married, sharing a closet with my husband wasn’t quite the same, so I thought it would be a fun idea to extend this passion virtually through Instagram and my own website!
I was a total tomboy growing up and never much cared for playing dress-up (dance gave more than enough opportunities to get all glitz and glammed up), but once I got older it was incredible to see how much of a confidence booster it was to swipe on some mascara, lipstick, and a pair of heels! Of course I loved how empowered it made me feel – but seeing the look in someone else’s face when they felt that same confidence about themselves is what keeps me here!
My goal with Savvy Lane is to share fashion, beauty tips + products, life lessons, and all the things that make me feel like a better version of myself in hopes that you too will feel Sassy, Savvy, and Confident!

Where are you from?
I was born in Lancaster, a small town in South Carolina. In 2012 moved to Spartanburg, SC, to attend Wofford College where I earned a degree in Math and Spanish. After graduation I moved to Wilmington, NC, for my first big girl job and met my husband days after making the move! We lived there for 4 years and recently moved to Dallas, TX, where we hope to lay roots!
What do you do in real life?
I am a product owner, which basically means I manage the workload for a development team.
Savvy Lane?
Some synonyms for savvy are acute, foxy, sensible, perceptive. It is the perfect adjective to describe how I view most aspects of life.
Lane is to always remember where you came from but to stay focused on where your goals and dreams will take you.
