Well ladies, I hit my quarter life crisis this year, but instead of going out and doing something crazy I decided to invest in a GOOD skincare routine so I look 25 forever.
If you don’t know this about me, I am a HUGE researcher and planner! I dove into influencer reviews, dermatologist recommendations, and millions of Google searches.
I ran across Tula from multiple avenues and took a closer look at their product line. Honestly the reviews seemed too good to be true but I decided to give it a try for myself because there had to be some merit to all the fuss.
I started off ordering three items with a forth promotional free item and shortly after ordered more because I was liking it so much!
Here I’m going to walk you through my daily skincare routine, daytime and nighttime, and show y’all just what products I use and my HONEST opinion on them all!
Both my daily and nightly routines start with the Purifying Face Cleanser. This product is AWESOME for getting off almost all of your makeup (if you wear a lot of makeup you will need a little extra help but otherwise this will do the trick!).
Splash your face with warm water to open up your pores. Place a dime size in your hand and clean for at least a minute then rinse with warm water. Once all product is off splash your face with cold water to close your pores again!
At only $28 this is a definite must-have from their line! Perfect to cleanse off everything your face has tackled all day!
One of my major concerns is dullness. I am super oily but both my hair and skin lack that beautiful shine I really desire. This does just the trick at adding a luminous glow to my skin!
Not only does it add it under my makeup upon application, but over the past month I’ve noticed a natural glow coming from my skin when it is clean!
After I cleanse my face I do one pump on my fingertips and smooth it over my skin. One pump is more than generous for me so this will last FOREVER!
The Illuminating Face Serum comes in at $68 but is SO worth it if dull skin is your main concern!
This is one of Tula’s holy grail items. It sold out within days of it’s original launch and the wait list was over 20,000 people long when it was restocked a month later!
I snagged this right when it came back in stock and LOVE it! After I cleanse my face in the morning and apply my Illuminating Face Serum I will do this under my eyes to perk them up! This balm is filled with caffeine and gives a little tingle upon application (in the best kind of way) and a beautiful underglow!
This can also be applied at any point in the day: bare skin, over moisturizer, on top of makeup. I would not suggest applying this at night as the caffeine does tend to wake up your eyes and might disturb your sleep.
This is one of the more affordable options Tula has to offer at $28. It is PERFECT for extra glowy skin and under eyes but could easily be left off if you are strictly looking for a skincare routine.
Skipping focus here to my nighttime routine! Like I mentioned earlier I start both routines with the Purifying Face Cleanser.
At night, twice a week, I will follow up with the Exfoliating Treatment Mask. Rub a generous amount on your face and you can feel the exfoliating beads working! Leave on your face for 10 minutes for maximum results! On days that I do not use the mask I have an exfoliating face cloth that I use to remove any dead skin.
This mask is $48, which is pretty reasonable given the amount provided and the product! Completely recommend if you are looking for a solid exfoliating treatment!
Aqua Infused Oil-Free Gel Cream
On the Tula website they offer a “Build Your Skincare Routine” that shows all of their products but arranged in categories to help you build out a full routine. For moisturizers there is this product and the Hydrating Skin Mask. The mask retails for $52 and is better for skin that needs super moisturizing and is on the dry/combination side. That product came HEAVILY recommended by other influencers.
I, on the other hand, have oily skin. This product stated that it was specifically designed for oily skin types. I chose this instead of the mask for that reason.
I can definitely tell a difference in how soft and moisturized my skin is only a month later! I previously did not use a moisturizer that often due to my oily skin (I know, I was so naive) but I have learned the error of my ways and will never turn back! To apply I pump a dime size into the palm of my hand rub all over my face in a circular upwards motion.
This gel cream comes in at $48. You really cannot go wrong with either moisturizer so choose the one that is best suited for your skincare needs!
Kefir Moisture Repair Pressed Serum
I will be perfectly honest with this product (I have been for all of them but this is a little different). Tula offered a coupon when I placed my first order that gave this product free with a certain purchase price. Otherwise I would have never purchased this product.
It smells very strongly of ginger, not as fresh as the other products, but it is not overbearing enough to cause a problem.
This product is SUPER moisturizing and locks in all the moisture it can. I use this about once a week after my gel cream to help give an extra boost of moisture if it is needed but if you are ever in need of that extra moisture or have excessive chapping this would be your go-to product!
At $65 I could see this product being a must-have if you have extremely dry skin. Otherwise, like me, you could give or take it.
I love a good face mask and try to incorporate one a week into my nightly routine to give my skin that extra oomph! These masks give an INCREDIBLE amount of glow for that special occasion or night out.
I purchased a “Glowing Skin” value pack that has been discontinued (or at least no longer available on their website) and these were included, but you can purchase these by themselves for $35 and receive 4 masks.
When I use these masks I will clean my face with the Purifying Face Cleanser and then put the mask on for 15-20 minutes. These are awesome, but I will be honest, I would not normally pay that amount for 4 face masks.
Tula has an incredible line of full spectrum products. I just placed an order for their Acne Gel Creme and an eye creme to help my breakouts and start preventing wrinkles and fine lines.
I know it can all be overwhelming, but luckily Tula’s website has a skin quiz you can take to give you three recommendations and you can also build out a skin routine and it breaks out all products into their categories and the order you should use them!
